
As winter sets in for those of us up here in the northern hemisphere the treasure hunt that is geocaching becomes more difficult. You will notice I did not say impossible, just more difficult. Many roads and trails become impassible and since many geocaches are somewhere on the ground you can run into challenges with snow covering the cache.

Today (12/23/08) in Waynesboro, PA another geocache was interpreted by the local authorities to be a device of unknown origin and potentially dangerous. You can read the article here… They ultimately ended up blowing it up and are now searching for the person that placed it.
