 I love creating geocache’s. Everything from building the container to finding that ideal spot to hide it (or vice versa… sometimes you find the spot and then create the container after). In the area we live, we get A LOT of snow. Typical cache hiding places become much more difficult. Difficult because people have to get to them, and difficult because they may be buried in inches to feet of snow. I’d like to place [...]  If you watch the RSS feed on the home page you will notice that there seems to be an ever increasing number of geocaches being exploded by the bomb squad. One of the more recent being an ammo box located in a industrial/office park that was near an airport. I can’t help but wonder if these types of things continue to happen what the ultimate result will be to the sport, or worse yet what the [...]  For some, Geocaching is all about the search, all about finding that hidden cache. The journey there and what you see often falls into second place or worse. For me the journey is the best part. Especially for those hunts that take us into the mountains of North Eastern Washington. I enjoy the Jeep ride, the fresh air and the gorgeous scenery. Green meadows, dark fern covered valleys and trees that reach the sky. All [...]  As winter sets in for those of us up here in the northern hemisphere the treasure hunt that is geocaching becomes more difficult. You will notice I did not say impossible, just more difficult. Many roads and trails become impassible and since many geocaches are somewhere on the ground you can run into challenges with snow covering the cache. I would still encourage you all to get out and try to locate a few caches. Here [...]
